Thursday 15 April 2010 Ziegy has Talent Zeigy Has Talent
Fans of Britain's Got Talent have been eagerly waiting for it to reach their screens but for members of Help Fife Animals there will be an added bonus this series.
One of its members, Jeanette Fyfe and her gorgeous Golden Retriever, Ziegy auditioned in Glasgow earlier this year for the show.
They performed a routine 'Blow Gabriel Blow' and Ziegy grabbed the judge's attention when he showed them, not only can he perform heelwork to music but he has an added skill of blowing a trumpet.
Jeanette said "Auditioning for Britain's Got Talent was certainly an experience. I was so pleased with Ziegy's performance, he did me proud." Viewers will have to watch the programme to see how they got on. The new series starts on Saturday 17 April 2010 at 8.00pm. | Posted by Barbara on Thursday 15 April 2010 - 06:23:48 | |
Tuesday 09 March 2010 HFA Members Go to Crufts Help Fife Animals member Jeanette Fyfe has been busy putting the finishing touches to her Canine Freestyle routine with her Golden Retriever, which she will perform at Crufts when she represents Scotland in the International Freestyle final.
The final will take place at DFS Crufts, the biggest dog show in the world, on Saturday 13th March 2010 when she will compete with a routine to music from Strictly Come Dancing against 12 other countries.
Jeanette competes at HTM advanced level and Canine Freestyle at Intermediate level with 7 year old Ziegy and were invited by the Kennel Club to give a demonstration at last years Crufts event.
Other Help Fife Animal members competing at DFS Crufts this year are Amy Jackson with Jess, Callum Ferguson with Patch, Christian Mackay with Jura and Jason and Erin Logie with Ace and Buzz.
The five young people will compete in YKC finals in Heelwork to Music, Canine Freestyle and Obedience and Agility.
Erin has also been nominated in the 6-11 year old category for the Shaun McAlpine Outstanding Young Person Award which is the highest level of achievement for the country’s young dog owners at a special ceremony on Sunday.
Presented by the Young Kennel Club (YKC), the award acknowledges young people who excel in their involvement with dogs—such as working tirelessly to raise funds or increase awareness for charity, helping to organise dog activities in their area or succeeding in dog showing or training.
The ceremony will have a celebratory parade for all of the young achievers and their four-legged friends, followed by an announcement of the winners in each category—6-11 years, 12-16 years and 17-24 years.
The overall winner will be announced live in the YKC ring to coincide with the silver jubilee anniversary, which celebrates 25 years of helping young dog lovers learn new skills.
